Participants
Interested welfare recipients who want to enter the retail trade.

Prerequisites
Participants have a good knowledge of German - i.e. have completed level B1 - and understand dialect. They are prepared to work during shop opening hours, including Saturdays. Childcare must be guaranteed.

Course objectives
Participants are prepared theoretically and practically for a position as a sales employee and/or cashier in the food or non-food sector. During the internship, they learn industry-specific product knowledge, gain work experience and have references for a job in sales.

Course schedule
Clarification and admission interview.
1 week theory, Monday to Friday from 9-12.00 and 13-16.30.
Followed by a 12-week internship in a retail shop depending on interest and aptitude. Support through job coaching during the internship and during the job search. Regular group meetings.
